The ladder-leader withstood a seven goal to three second quarter from the bottom-placed East Warrnambool to notch an 84-point triumph.
The Bombers responded from a scoreless first quarter to produce 7.1 (43) to 3.2 (20) in the second quarter, leaving them to trail by 13 points at half-time.
Finn said the club’s focus was on “curbing momentum” but was pleased to remain atop the ladder after victories to fellow premiership contenders.
“It was probably more of a challenge for the playing group. There were a few things we had to address at half-time,” he said.
Finn thanked East and South Warrnambool for wearing black armbands in memory of his grandfather, South Warrnambool legend Alan ‘Funnel’ Johnson.
