The Roosters have shown good fight against two flag hopefuls in Warrnambool and Koroit in the opening two rounds and are striving for a breakthrough win when they host Terang Mortlake on Saturday.
“Our first two rounds were against tough opposition sides and … our intensity was just amazing,” O’Connor said. “I believe we can go far (this year). With the inclusion of Eliza Dwyer and Mel Keath as captain, I think that experience is helping us … (but) we’ve always been a tight-knit group.”
Dwyer shot 28 goals in her return to the team last weekend.

O’Connor will be forced to watch on from the sidelines on Saturday as she manages a back injury.
“My back has been a bit out of it for a couple of months; I’ve just been playing on and off,” she said. “I’m just resting it this week.”
The Roosters have been waiting to celebrate a win since round 18, 2015, but hope a rejuvenated side can get the four points against Terang Mortlake, which is also yet to register a win this year.
