Zachary Miller, 21, previously of Churchill Street, Warrnambool, pleaded guilty to three drug dealing charges in Warrnambool court mid last year and was locked up in a youth justice centre for 18 months.
He was released on parole on January 9 but came to police attention four times before being arrested hiding in his brother's back yard on February 15.
His parole was then breached and he is now serving his original sentence with a release date of August 13.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose said she was prepared to have Miller assessed for a community order but she would make no promises he would not receive further jail time.
She said Miller had drug issues but his biggest problem "is that he drives like a complete lunatic".
Miller was remanded in custody until May 3 to be assessed.
Police said that on February 6 officers pulled over a green Holden station wagon at 1.10pm.
They found Miller was a learner driver and the passenger in the car was a disqualified driver.
They also located Valium, a tomahawk beside the driver's seat, a knife on the floor of the car and an Apple Mac that was suspected of being stolen.
Two days later police in an unmarked car saw Miller diving in Whites Road.
They tried to intercept him but he accelerated away, overtook cars on the left-hand side and was estimated to be travelling at 130km/h in an 80 zone.
Miller then committed petrol drive-offs in Colac and Camperdown, stealing fuel valued at $130.
In Colac he was chased by police but failed to stop and went straight through a red traffic light.
Police officers went to Miller's brother's Wooles Avenue home in Warrnambool where he was found hiding in the back yard.
