Jimi “The Human” Hocking brings his Blues Machine to the Hotel Warrnambool for a Sunday arvo session that kicks off at 3pm.
Whether it be as a solo singer-songwriter, with rock icons The Screaming Jets, or with his blues combo, Hocking has been a regular visitor to the region for about three decades.
His most recent visit was hosting the Sunday singalong at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, having been handed the reins by Rick E Vengeance this year. As usual, the singalong event drew a packed house to the Shebeen.
Hocking has been kept busy in recent times with both the Jets and his solo work. Last year, The Screaming Jets released their first album in eight years Chrome, and Hocking also released an intimate EP recorded with his dad called Home Cooking.
Described as “the electric love child of T-Bone Walker, BB King and Jimi Hendrix”, Hocking and his Blues Machine promise a three-hours of rockin’ blues tunes.
