BULLDOGS hard nut Liam Picken has inked a two-year contract extension with the reigning AFL premier.

The Hamilton born-and-raised midfielder, 30, averaged 22 disposals and was named the Bulldogs’ best finals player in 2016.

“When the club came to me, I was more than happy (to re-sign). Hopefully we’ve got some more exciting times coming up,” Picken told the Western Bulldogs website. “It was an easy decision. (I’ve been here) nearly nine years.”
