Trained by Grant Young, who won the race as a jockey in 2000 aboard Bruskin, Spying On You defeated Undergroundfighter and the Warrnambool trained Lord Of The Song in the 4950 metre race.
Young said a decision regarding the next start for Spying On You will be made in the next few days.
“I’ll let the dust settle for a day or two before making a final decision but the Warrnambool Grand Annual Steeplechase is the most obvious race for him,” Young said.
“Spying On You ran fifth in the Annual last year. The Great Eastern is a very special race for me.
“I was lucky to win the Great Eastern as a jockey – that win gave me enough money for a deposit on a house.
I’ll let the dust settle before making a decision but the Warrnambool Grand Annual Steeplechase is the most obvious race for him.

Dormello Mo trained by Warrnambool trainer Simon Ryan failed to finish the race.
