Brandon-Lee Gibbins, James Rea and Hayley Walker will run the boundary at AFL Victoria Country under 16 championship matches around the state over the next three weeks.
They expect to run up to 16 kilometres a match across a variety of venues.
“There’s games played through Princes Park, Punt Road, up through Ballarat, Bendigo and some in Geelong as well,” Gibbins said.
Walker said she was excited to officiate in faster games, while Rea believes watching the next tier of TAC Cup-calibre footballers come through the ranks will be a highlight.
They went through the V/Line umpiring academy and officiated at the V/Line Cup in Gippsland last year as part of the selection process.
WDFUA will kick-start its season this weekend via Hampden and Warrnambool and District league competitions.
