Mr Northcott was arrested, interviewed and charged with possessing ice and remanded in custody to appear in Portland Magistrates Court for a bail/remand hearing.
Tuesday, 8.30am: A PORTLAND man arrested in Hamilton overnight on six warrants mostly relating to drug charges will appear in Warrnambool court on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old man was arrested at 11.45pm on Monday after police intercepted a car in Hamilton's Norma Avenue.
A search of the vehicle located a small zip lock bag believed to contain ice.
Further inquiries found the man was wanted on six warrants of apprehension after failing to appear in court during January.
He was arrested, interviewed, charged with possessing ice and remanded in custody to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a bail/remand hearing.
