Neon Netfit, created by Camperdown export Sarah Wall, arrived in Warrnambool on Thursday night, culminating in a workout world record attempt.
Wall brought along elite players Kim Ravaillion and Liz Watson, along with Australian coach Norma Plummer and Some Blonde DJ for the action-packed night.
“One of my biggest passions is to make sure I share all of the elite talent across all age groups, so we started at 4pm to get the young girls in touch with the elite players,” Wall said.
The event also included coaching workshops, netball yoga and a neon paint station to get participants covered in colour before the lights went out at 8.30pm for the mass neon workout.
Wall said all money raised from the event was going to the mental health awareness initiative Let’s Talk.
“I think getting active and the mental health part is hand-in-hand,” she said.
Wall said she was thrilled at the reception she received heading back home.
“The south-west is the most amazing netball community and support to me,” she said.
“Every team I’ve been in they have supported me and to be putting this on the way they have is extraordinary and to get the kids here in these numbers, I never expected it.”
