Terang Mortlake trio Harrison Hobbs, Lachlan Wareham and Scott Carlin, Koroit duo Josh Chatfield and Lukas Essenwagner, Camperdown recruit Dale Cox and Hamilton Kangaroos’ Cooper Henson will all line up for Greater Western Victoria Rebels for the first time.
Portland pair Keegan Gray and Aaron Shepherd were also picked to face Geelong Falcons in the season-opener at Simonds Stadium.
Koroit recruit Ethan McLaren was named as an emergency.
The Rebels will also launch their AFL Victoria Country under 16 championships campaign.
South Warrnambool trio Cooper Atchison, Alex Lavithis-Davies and Emmanuel Ajang, Hawks’ Eddy Gattek, Hamilton Kangaroos’ Dylan Starkie, Dennington’s Josh Dwyer, Koroit’s Connor Hinkley, Simpson’s Jack Hookway, West Portland’s Connor Giddings and Penshurst’s Izaac Ewing were all selected.
