The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the TattsLotto division one prize from Saturday’s draw.
Apart from buying a new home and helping her family, she said she also wanted a new feline friend.
As the winning Colac ticket was unregistered, Tatts had no way to identify or contact the winner and was waiting for them to come forward with the winning ticket.
The woman checked her ticket after hearing media reports that someone in the area had won.
“I thought it must be a mistake because I never win anything,” she said.
“I’ve been playing for years and have had small wins before but nothing over $100.
“It’s definitely life changing for me. I haven’t had a lot of money before.
“We’ll be looking for a new house definitely. It will have a big library and a spa bath I think. But not combined as the books would get wet.
“I also want to get a nice new kitten.”
The winner purchased her $2,087,007.71 division one winning TattsLotto ticket from Colac Lotto.
Colac Lotto owner Ros Monaghan said she was thrilled the missing division one winner had been found.
