Griffin enjoyed success at Portland a fortnight ago and managed to continue his form to down Casterton’s Chris Logan for the Quick 16 crown.
Ronald Johnstone put on a strong showing to win the super sedan category.
Warrnambool and District Drag Racing Club’s Wes White said the event enjoyed solid patronage despite stifling conditions.
“It wasn’t as large as our last meeting, I think the hot weather might have kept some away,” he said.
“But we had about 200 to 250 people coming and going across the day, which was good.”
White said a troupe of Warrnambool racers would venture to Adelaide in coming weeks to contest the final round of the Australian Championship.
