A NEW four-year council plan is being developed by the Warrnambool City Council. Mayor Kylie Gaston said councillors and staff ideas for the plan had been compiled in a discussion paper.

“We’re keen to hear the community’s views on this and any additional ideas for Warrnambool,” she said. “Council’s vision is for Warrnambool to be a cosmopolitan city by the sea.”
The draft objectives are to sustain and enhance the environment, foster a city that is socially and culturally enriched, maintain and improve the physical fabric of the city, develop a modern economy and practice good governance. “Council has also proposed a theme for the coming year which is to ‘grow pride and confidence in the city’,” she said.
