The group were of the understanding that these concerns were raised prior to the erection of the signs.
“They do stick out a little bit,” Mr Sparrow said
“That’s why we didn’t actually put them on the Promenade walk but around the corner a bit on the walks down to the ocean.”
“I thought we had it covered.”
According to a spokesman from the Warrnambool City Council the signs needed some adjustment and will be back up soon.

Signs displaying the vegetation of beach scrub have been stolen from two Warrnambool sites.
The educational posts located at The Flume and Promenade were removed some time between Sunday last week and Friday commencing the long weekend.
President of the Australian Plant Association in Warrnambool, Kevin Sparrow, said he was baffled why anyone would want to steal them.
“The signs were on a steel base with a bracket bolted to the fence,” he said.
“They were bolted in and they’re fairly heavy so whoever has taken them has put a lot of effort into removing them.”
The Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority funded signs were initially erected on February 7 as an educational tool for the public.
“It’s a real shame and I just can’t understand why anyone would have done this,” Mr Sparrow said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Warrnambool police.
