Long-time servants Tyronne Grayson, 26, and Jacob Taylor, 22, will guide the Bombers’ on-field fortunes while Coedie Carter and Dylan Burns will round out the leadership group as vice-captains.
They will replace outgoing captain Jayson Millet, who missed the majority of 2016 through injury.
Grayson said he was thrilled to take on the role.
“It’s definitely something a little bit different. It will push us out of our comfort zones,” he said.
“Danny told us on Sunday and we announced it Wednesday night in front of the boys.
“There are a lot of new faces at the club too so it’s good.”
East Warrnambool finished last season in 10th place with two wins and 16 losses, in front of Russells Creek.
