Shipwreck Coast Motocross Club will host the event, which will feature riders from across the Western District, including some from as far away as Mount Gambier, as well as Shepparton, Horsham, Ballarat, Ararat and Colac.
Club secretary Tracy Chilton said upwards of 20 south-west riders would also contest the regional event, which has drawn entrants from seven years of age through to the over 45s.
“The first round is always good numbers,” she said.
“It’s around the same figures as last year, maybe a little bit better … because we’ve got the senior Victorian titles in April, there could be a few extras because they want to get on the track.”
Riders will be making their way around the track from 8am on Sunday, with official racing to start around 10-10.30am.
This weekend’s racing will launch the six-round Western Region Motocross Series.
