Police are asking public for help in their investigations of a shooting at a Melton residence where three children under 10 were asleep.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Natalie Webster said a number of shots were fired into a residential property on Westlake Drive about 2am on Saturday, February 18.
"At the time, a family, including three children under 10, were sleeping inside," Ms Webster said.
"No one was physically injured during the incident."
Detectives from Melton crime investigation unit believe that the incident was a case of mistaken identity and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
"They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a motorbike travelling in company with a V8-sounding vehicle in the area around that time," Ms Webster said.
