Trainer Mark O’Donnell, who has not had a runner for more than three years was happy with the performance of Rebellious Lord.
“I've been busy pre-training horses for Darren Weir so I haven't had any runners,” O’Donnell said. “I picked Rebellious Lord out of the paddock when he was a two-year-old. He's had three jump-outs and shown promise each time. We’ll spell him and let him furnish out. I think he may develop into a handy type of horse with a bit of time. He's bred to get over a bit of ground.”
Jockeys Dean Yendall, Melissa Julius, Linda Meech and Jordan Childs shared the riding honours booting home doubles on the eight-race program. Yendall was successful on Think Babe and Bloodlette while Julius won La Fleurette and Elzette.
