Mr Delvigo, in his late 60s, has trekked all around the world.

He began walking when he was 64, after retiring. He walks for freedom and to “keep his brain clean”. 

Known as the Siberian Walker, he is making his way across Australia, and hopes to reach Brisbane by April. 

He began his journey in Perth in September.

Mr Delvigo walks 40 to 45 kilometres a day, and sleeps in a tent.

Previously he has walked across Russia and the United States.

He pushes his belongings along in a trolley, and says Australia has beautiful scenery.

The only issue he has is with the abundance of flies.
