Young bowler Jordan Graham starred, producing a 10-wicket haul to tear through the Bulls in two innings.
He claimed four wickets last week before snaring another six on Saturday.
Pirates co-captain Kalon Wilkie said he believed Graham’s effort was the first 10-wicket division one haul at Port Fairy since 1988.
“He bowled unbelievably well. He’s economical, as well so it’s a great effort,” he said.
“We bowled well as a whole for the entire day. I think third place is now the worst we can end up. It’s ideal.
“I think we’re 99 per cent going to be playing Woodford in the semi so we’re feeling pretty good about that. Confidence is very high among the boys right now.”
Port Fairy will lock horns with ladder leader Russells Creek on Saturday in a top-of-the-table clash.
