Phil Beasley – who won the Terang men’s championship in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 – is leading the field heading into the final round of the 2017 edition.
He has shot rounds of 74, 78 and 73, for a total of 225, to give himself a slight edge over Damien Coolahan, who’s on 227 after scoring 75, 77 and 75 over the first three rounds.
Lachie Meade, who plays off a handicap of eight, is sitting third on 234, with returns of 73, 80 and 81.
Damien’s handicap has rocked from seven into four since the birth of his first child 12 months ago, while Meade will be trying to squeeze in a strong finish before he heads to university in Melbourne on Sunday.
Jason Black (263) leads the B grade standings, ahead of Trevor Beasley (265) and Jimmy Kenna (268).
In C grade, Tyler Beasley (293) leads from Shane Scanlon (305) and Damien Wynd (307).
