The Warrnambool City Council-leased Pavilion Cafe and Bar, situated at the breakwater, will welcome a new head chef next month.
Chris Considine, previous owner of Nonna Casalinga on Liebig Street, will take the reins after selling his previous venture of 11 years.
“I’m hoping to blend my style of food and enhance what is already a successful casual lunch feel,” Mr Considine said.
Pavilion Cafe and Bar owners Jon and Mary-Ellen Watson said in its peak season the venue served, on average, 450 meals a day.
“On our busiest day, we served 631 meals between 8am and 3pm,” Mr Watson said.
“Our goal now is to work on seasonal and regional dinner events while we continue to focus on both locals and tourists.”
Mr Watson said he wished current head chef Jimmy Davis all the best as he becomes the new owner of Timboon’s Fat Cow Company.
