Raised in Hamilton, the mother-of-two, small business owner Lisa Suter moved to Warrnambool in 1997 where she met her husband while they worked together at Swintons IGA.
The pair then moved to Crossley in 2000 where they now raise their two teenage boys while hosting wedding ceremonies on their 3.5-acre property that they transformed from a bare paddock.
How long have you lived at Crossley?
I have lived in Crossley for almost 17 years. My husband owned the land when we got together.
What do you most love about living in Crossley?
The peace and quiet.
Describe Crossley in five words.
Our little piece of paradise.
If you could live anywhere where would you choose?
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
What's on your bedside table at the moment?
A lamp and a phone.
Tea or coffee?
Coffee.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Gold Coast.
What are you reading at the moment?
A Rachel Treasure novel.
If you had $1-million, what would you do with it?
I would buy a property and build the ultimate wedding venue with a rustic barn, magnificent gardens and guest accommodation.
What career did you want to pursue when you were a teenager?
Hairdressing.
Do you sleep talk or sleep walk?
I did a lot as a child.
What recipe are you renowned for cooking?
Mexican salad.
If you had all the time in the world to pursue and perfect any hobby, what would that be?
Become a better horse rider.
When and where are you your most happiest?
At home with my family.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Not to worry about things that may never happen.
Do you have a motto you live by?
You only live once.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I see myself running my dream wedding venue.
