It will be an evening of action at Dalvui Raceway on Saturday, February 11 as Terang Harness Racing Club hosts its annual Cup event.
Gates open at 6pm, offering an evening of entertainment, quality racing and family fun.
The nine race card includes two Cup races, the Terang Co-op Pacing Cup, valued at $30,000, and the Barastoc Terang Trotters Cup, $12,000.
A strong field is expected to contest the two events, among them a returning champion. Lara trainer Dean Braun will be returning with 2014 Cup winner Im Corzin Terror. Three locally trained horses will be racing in the Terang Co-op Pacing Cup.
It will be a family affair when the Margaret Lee trained Looks Like Heaven starts, with Margaret's son Jason in the driver’s seat.
Two of Ecklin trainer Matthew Craven’s horses will be in the event, Sirladyn Reba and Desdon Murruffy.
Craven, who is also a driver, will be well represented in the Barastoc Terang Trotters Cup, fielding Hinault, Uncas and El Paco.

As well as the racing action, there will be plenty of light entertainment on offer for punters. Crowd favourite the Pony Trots will be in action after Race 1 and Race 3.
The mechanical bucking bull is back by popular demand after a one year absence and there will be live music by Richard Tankard and Matt Hewson. Crowds are expected to be taking advantage of the quality food on offer and enjoy the display of static engines from the South Western District Restoration Group.
Activities to keep the children entertained will include clowns, face painting and a special visit by race mascot Poppy, who will be leading the lolly scramble.
There will be guest appearances from Coast FM’s The Big Fella, who will be hosting special giveaways during the evening as well as interviewing the talent from the track, the harness racing trainers and drivers.
The Big Fella will then be in the hot seat, barreling along in a double-seated sulky racing against other special guests including premiership coaches, Adam Dowie from Koroit and Shane Quick from Nirranda. The exhibition race, sponsored by South West Horse Transport, will see $500 donated to Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
Prizes and giveaways will be on offer throughout the evening, including a patron’s punting competition. Losing betting tickets from the first three races can be put, along with a name and phone number, into nominated buckets at the raceway. Six tickets will be drawn from each bucket after race three, with the winners receiving $500 betting vouchers which can be used on the evening’s remaining races.
Offering a great evening out for the whole family, tickets are $10 for adults ($5 pensioners) and free for children under 18.
