Camperdown police Senior Constable Tony McLachlan said the woman was intercepted driving between Terang and Camperdown in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He said she was detected travelling at 116km/h and then provided a positive preliminary breath test.
The evidentiary reading was .22.
Senior Constable McLachlan said the woman lost her driver's licence on the spot, she would be charged on summons with speeding and drink driving and appear in a magistrates court on a date to be fixed.
"It's always disappointing when someone drives, thinks they are all right and they are over the limit. This woman knew she would return a positive test, took the risk and was detected," he said.
"She will now appear in court and has already lost the right to drive. If you drink and drive you will be caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law," he said.
