Faced with the prospect of having both days of play at Koroit’s Jack Keane Oval washed out, Saturday’s action was transferred to the hard wicket at Bushfield.
It is believed the dispute was lodged on the grounds of investigating the altered match conditions, rather than any concern over the result. The match was declared a draw when both teams agreed to end play early with determining a winner considered impossible.
“We’re just wondering why everybody else played on turf but we got washed out two weeks in a row (and then had to play on a hard wicket),” Allansford captain Ben Boyd said.
The WDCA committee is expected to meet after all information comes to hand. A decision is likely to be made next week.
