The 22-year-old, who was a revelation for Kolora-Noorat in attack in 2016, is set to ply his trade with reigning premier Leopold after a work transfer prompted his move to the Geelong district town.
Ryan, who played at Hampden club South Warrnambool until last season, started training with the Steve Clark-coached outfit last week.

“It’s a big step-up from going through the district league last year,” he said.
“But I reckon I’m capable – it’s just a new kind of challenge.”
Ryan will join fellow south-west exports Nick Bourke – who played at Kolora-Noorat until he was rookie-listed by AFL powerhouse Geelong in season 2014 – and Darcy Keast, from North Warrnambool Eagles, in the Lions’ line-up.
The Power will be hopeful former star forward Ben Fraser, who is set to return to the club after a six-year absence, will be able to fill the gaping void left by Ryan’s departure.
The departing key forward booted 93 goals from 19 appearances for Kolora-Noorat last season.
