It has welcomed back former WDFNL top goalkicker Ben Fraser, who last played at Noorat Recreation Reserve in 2010, and former Power junior Jason Moloney, who has played predominantly at Hampden club Terang Mortlake recently.
Kolora-Noorat coach Danny Finn said the Melbourne-based pair would train together and commute to the south-west for games.
“Not only are they quality players, but quality people and they’ve both got ties to the club,” Finn said.
“Ben played at the club about five years ago now; he’s a premiership player, led the goalkicking for the league, he’s a big centre half-forward.
“Jason has been overseas and played at Terang Mortlake the last few years, but he’s a quality ball-user and a centre half-back/half-back/wingman type.”
The Power are shaping as a major threat for the flag and may have found the edge they were after to advance further than last year’s semi-final appearance.
They have almost ticked off their recruiting wishlist but, while they are still on the lookout for a key position backman and another quality midfielder, Finn was content with the list they have assembled.
“If we can fulfil those, that would be great, but at the same time I’m really confident in the list we’ve got,” Finn said.
“I think any additions will only help (strengthen what we already have).
“Our junior players, that’s what I’m excited about. A lot of them are doing a Rebels pre-season.
“That’s where our improvement will come from.”
