The markets have been held at Railway Place on New Year’s Day and each Saturday morning during January.
Traditionally, they are held at King George Square but that venue has been unavailable this year due to the redevelopment of the restaurant at the wharf.
The markets are ran as a fund-raiser for Port Fairy Community House and stalls co-ordinator Pam McGoldrick said the change of location has had a positive effect.
“Our average market has been 110 stalls with this week our biggest with 120,” she said. “At King George Square we are limited to 107 at the most so the move has increased our capacity.”
