Trainer Symon Wilde said the claim for Bayliss will see See What I Bring coming in under the minimum weight for the 1600-metre race.
“I think the two kilogram claim for Jake brings us right in the race,” Wilde said.
“We've gone up in class but I reckon we’re in really well with the claim.
“We ran See What I Bring first up in this campaign at the Valley and he ran super. It was his first time around the Valley.
“I think he appreciated the bit of give in the racing surface. He ran third at Sandown last time, but I don't think he was suited by the tempo in the race.”
Wilde, who is opening a satellite stable at Ballarat within weeks, said See What I Bring had been kept up to the mark with light work since his Sandown run.
“We haven't done much with him since Sandown when he ran over 1600 metres,” he said.
“See What I Bring is race fit. He's had the three runs from a spell and having a second go at 1600 metres in this campaign should suit him down to the ground.”
Crossley trainer Mitch Freedman saddles up Your Divine Archie in a mares race on the nine-race program at the Valley, while Royal Spinner for Colac trainer Bill Cerchi and Ciaron Maher’s Lady Esprit run in a 1000-metre race.
Darren Weir’s Warrnambool satellite stable will be represented by numerous runners at the meeting.
