Twenty-eight teams are set to compete in this year’s event, including Carla Krizanic and playing partner Kelly McKerien.
Krizanic is a current Australian player, and claimed double gold medals at the world championships held last month.
Last year’s winning combo of Julie Ross and Leah Whitfield from Bendigo will also be competing.
Play starts 2pm Wednesday and runs right through until 4pm Friday for three closely-contested days.
City Memorial’s classic pairs have also been played this week.

Club singles for Koroit, City and Timboon have been run and won.
Koroit now has Les Johnson and Faye Duffield as their new club champs while City has Ken Bell and Julie Dosser. Timboon has club luminary Arthur Finch for his sixth title and Hazel Collins.
The Champion of Champions play-offs start this Sunday at the Koroit Bowls club.
Missing from the men’s play-offs will be George Draffen from Mortlake and Arthur Finch who will be trialling for the Australian indoor bowls team.
Chris Fox from Port Fairy will also be absent from the line-up.
Good luck to all men’s and ladies club champs in the play-offs.
The West Coast Bowls Region has finalised selection to play for the state title from the 15 state regions.
The WDBD’s four women reps are Maureen Drennan from Dennington, Coleen Haberfield and Moira Cooknell from City and Val Smith from Mortlake. The ladies will play at Murray Downs from March 31.
The men’s reps include Paul O’Donnell and Barry Crimmin from Warrnambool and Jamie Heffernan from Terang who will play at Corowa from April 30.

In Tuesday Pennant the upset games of the round 10 were Timboon Maroon’s two-shot win over Warrnambool Gold and Terang Gold’s convincing win over City Green.
In Saturday Pennant, the stand out story is Lawn Tennis Red’s home ground win over Terang Green after a long and agonising drought since their admission into division 1.
Port Fairy Red also celebrated after their away win over City Gold.
Although the fat lady is yet to sing in regards to the coveted fourth position, Timboon Gold’s current lead – coupled with a favourable draw for the remaining six games – will make it a tough ask for the remaining contenders.
