Jackson, 30, who works for the Symon Wilde stable, said the injury that occurred at jump-outs was frustrating.
“I've got to go back and see the doctors in a fortnight,” the Irish-born horseman said.
“I've got my right foot in a moon-boot. They reckon I’ll be out of action for three weeks. It was just a simple accident. It’s just frustrating.”
Jackson, who has mixed jumps and flat riding over the past few years, won a 2200-metre flat race on Prize for the Wilde stable at Camperdown last Saturday.
“I've been having a pretty good run riding on the flat,” he said.
“We've been really busy at Wilde’s as we've got a lot of horses in work and I've been schooling a few over jumps.
“The only good thing is I'll be fighting fit for the jumps season, which starts in about six weeks.”
Meanwhile, Hamilton host an eight-race program on Friday.
Top jockey Dean Yendall has six rides on the card – three are for the powerful Darren Weir stable.
The first race is scheduled to start at 1.30pm.
