Officers recovered a white Audi stolen on Monday morning.
A police spokeswoman said the vehicle was found late Monday morning with slight paint damage.
A baby's capsule in the backseat had been removed from the vehicle.
Three police units patrolled Colac on Monday morning in the hunt for the stolen Audi Q5.
It is believed the same offender also stole a Ford Falcon at the weekend and was involved in a petrol station drive-off before dumping the car after running over stop sticks.
It is also suspected the youth took $3500 in cash that was left in a vehicle near one of the stolen cars.
Colac police crime investigation unit detectives are in charge of the search for the youth and the investigation.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Colac police station.
