THE Camperdown Cup returns to Camperdown Turf Club, on Racecourse Road. Gates open at 11am and the first race is at 1.04pm.
MOYNEYANA Festival’s Celtic Day at the Fiddlers Green, Port Fairy from 10am to 3pm. Performers include Warrnambool Pipe Band, Irish and Highland dancers and bands Cill Airne and Likely Celts.
ORFORD Vintage Rally clocks up its 20th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday. The rally, at Orford recreation reserve, blends big displays and demonstrations of antique engines and vehicles with country music, a light show, ute muster and old time blade shearing competitions. Gates open between 9am and 6pm both days.
WARRNAMBOOL Model Railway Exhibition will fill St Joseph’s school hall on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
MAKE amazing discoveries on a leisurely walk along the beach for Rockpool Ramble. People can meet at the footbridge at the Merri Marine Sanctuary on Viaduct Road, Warrnambool. The event runs from 7pm to 8.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
WARRNAMBOOL Family History Group hosts cemetery walks on Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 6pm.
A BLUES and Roots Festival is at St Brigid’s Hall, Crossley on Saturday from 3pm to midnight.
WARRNAMBOOL’S Holiday Actors present Sweet Charity at the Lighthouse Theatre at 1pm and 7.30pm.
SUNDAY
A SOCIAL day for dairy farmers is at Victoria Park in Koroit from 11am to 4pm. Organised by the United Dairyfarmers of Victoria, the day includes live music, children's rides and a barbecue.
WARRNAMBOOL and District Cricket Association will crown its Twenty20 winners on Sunday. The two semi-finals – Russells Creek will meet Nestles and West Warrnambool will play East Warrnambool-YCW – are at 11am at Jetty Flat and Jones Oval respectively. Jetty Flat will host the grand final at 3pm.
WARRNAMBOOL and District Drag Racing Association will host its first meeting of the year. More than 60 cars and motorbikes are expected for the Warrnambool Aerodrome-based competition. Racing is from 9am to 3.30pm.
THE Shipwreck Swim Series presents the Tony Ryan Memorial Swim at Warrnambool’s Lady Bay from 11am.
THE Fresh Market Warrnambool, featuring fresh produce and crafts, is at Lake Pertobe from 9am to 2pm.
