Last year, the boys from Friendly Moving Men stripped down to their jocks for a calendar to raise money for domestic violence victims.

This time, the removalists are packing up their clothes to help people at risk of homelessness.

All profits from the company's 2017 calendar will go to Merri Outreach Support Service, a community-based organisation that has been helping men, women and children for more than 20 years.

Jackson Kite, who has worked for Friendly Moving Men for three years, stars as Mr February.

He said the business had decided to target homelessness because removalists often had to help people pack up their possessions and move into crisis accommodation.

"We had a pretty good response last year," he said. "It's very tongue-in-cheek, very hilarious. It's good to raise some money, so why not do it again?

"There was a lot of talk about who got to be Mr Christmas, but it all came out in the wash in the end."

Mr Kite said his workmates had fun with the photo shoot, which poked fun at hipster and bogan stereotypes.

So will the semi-nude calendar become an annual tradition?

"We've set the precedent now," Mr Kite said. "So why not? It's all a bit of fun and a good time for everyone involved."

The 2017 Friendly Moving Men calendar is available online, from the Arena Store, Collingwood, and Milkwood Cafe in Brunswick East.
