The Allansford-based competitor defended his Western Australian title on Saturday night, defeating Jason Kendrick and Bradley Maiolo.
Van Ginneken had to overcome obstacles to claim back-to-back titles despite starting off pole.
He was pushed back to third spot after a restart following a review of an earlier illegal pass on Kendrick.
Van Ginneken said he loved racing at Perth Motorplex.
“Last year I hadn’t raced there before and a few people were saying I must have fluked it or got lucky,” he said.
“There was a lot of pressure going for back-to-back and we did it harder this year.”
Van Ginneken, who has five Western Australian trips on his 2016-17 race schedule, will return to familiar territory on Saturday night.
He will join a bumper field at Premier Speedway – his home track – for Max’s Race, which honours speedway royalty Max Dumesny.
His aim is simple – make the A-Main.
“There are a few big cars there, so I will try and make the feature race and finish,” Van Ginneken said.
“I went all right last time ( Premier Speedway) when I started 12th and finished fourth. I am just starting too far back.”
Meanwhile, Allansford teenager Jack Bell made it back-to-back Grant Seely Memorial crowns at Laang Speedway on Saturday night.
Bell won from Geelong’s Terry Rankin and Camperdown’s AJ Blackstock.
