Delivery Dude director Nathan Elliott said he and friend Luke Veal were thinking “how cool it would be to have Maccas delivered” one night, which turned out to be the thought that kick-started their service.
Delivery Dude is a bartering forum where users can exchange rewards for the transport of goods or people.
The free application that connects “locals with locals” and has been downloaded by more than 2000 in the south-west and is spreading across the country.
“You can arrange to swap a six-pack for a Big Mac,” he said. “All we are is a portal that people can work out of to get deliveries.”
Mr Elliott said users’ feedback had been positive and revealed a Google Play version would be available within days.
