The Leila Rose Foundation’s Under the Mistletoe Christmas Ball will be held in a marquee at the Warrnambool racecourse.
The ball’s 400 guests will be dressed to impress in black and white at the a sell-out event.
Founder Tracy Chow said a number of local businesses hosted their end-of-year celebrations at the ball, which will be decorated with plenty of greenery and Christmas trees.
She said the foundation was currently supporting 50 families affected by childhood cancers and money raised would help to assist them.
“We hope to raise $30,000,” Mrs Chow said. “Anything over that would be a bonus. We haven’t done many fundraisers this year and this is our main one.
“We have a great fundraising committee and volunteers,” she said. “We couldn’t possibly do it without them. (Husband and co-founder) Andrew and I couldn’t do it on our own so it’s fantastic to have a great team and the support of the Warrnambool community.”
