The season was launched Thursday night, where it was revealed 20 theatre productions would grace the stage.
All shows have been hand-picked by theatre manager Mik Frawley, who said the program spanned the spectrum of the theatre experience.
Launch attendees enjoyed a preview of upcoming performances Exposing Edith and Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium, which used giant jellyfish puppets to create a spectacular underwater scene.
The 2017 line up includes cabaret shows Torte e Mort, The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez, Lovely Lady Lump and Exposing Edith. Other highlights include ARIA Hall of Famer Russell Morris, classical guitarists the Grigoryan Brothers and mesmerising dance in Rule of Thirds. Perennial favourites Bell Shakespeare, the Melbourne Theatre Company, the Australian Chamber and Melbourne Symphony orchestras will also return to the south-west.
Single tickets for all shows go on sale December 16.
