The Panmure premiership player will lead the Eagles’ A grade netball side in her second Mininera and District league season.
O’Keefe’s husband, former Hampden league Maskell Medallist Simon, will coach the Eagles’ senior footballers again in 2017.
“It’ll be great. We can work together in a way and bring the footy and netball closer together,” she said.
O’Keefe, 27, is excited to start her senior coaching career at Hawkesdale-Macarthur.
The mother-of-two’s previous experience was as an 17 and under mentor at Koroit.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the girls a bit better because this was my first year there,” she said.
“Hopefully we’ll go further in the finals. I am looking forward to the whole challenge of it.”
Hawkesdale-Macarthur made finals last season.
