A 16-year-old Sunbury boy is facing several charges including multiple counts of thefts from motor vehicles, attempted armed robbery, criminal damage and petrol theft after an alleged spree over the weekend that damaged more than 40 cars.

An 18-year-old Sunbury man has also been released pending summons over the alleged crime spree in Wallan and Beveridge.
Police say the teens broke into cars over the weekend.
The 16-year-old has been remanded to appear at a children's court at a later date.
