Godolphin trainer John O'Shea has set his sights on the Villiers Stakes with ATC Cup-winner Malice after his impressive effort at Rosehill on Saturday.

Stepping out to 2000 metres, Malice got home hard from back in the field to give James Doyle a winning double. He will be joined by Duca Valentinois in the Villiers Stakes at Randwick in a fortnight, despite his battling fourth on Saturday.

"Malice has been finding the line well this time in and he got in a race with a bit speed and ran up to his best form," O'Shea said. "We always had it in our minds to drop back to the mile and I think the Randwick mile with the speed on will really suit him.

"Duca Valentinois pleased us and he will go from 61 kilos to the bottom of the weights in the Villiers, which is a big advantage. He didn't get a lot of favours the way that race was run on Saturday and had to make a long run and it's worth having a crack at the Villiers with him."

O'Shea is looking forward to seeing three-year-old Flow at Rosehill next Saturday as well as a couple of two-year-olds, which will be on debut.

"Flow is a horse that has a bit of potential and is really coming to his top," he said.
