A crowd clad in Fletcher Jones clothing and new garments made from leftover FJs material will gather at the site of Jones’ former shop at the corner of Liebig and Koroit streets from 9am.
They will then make their way through the streets to the Fletcher Jones gardens by 10am for the start of the party, which features a market, live music, the launch of the second FJ Stories Panel, art, food and drink, some vintage vehicles and more.
The event is organised by The F Project in conjunction with Factory Arts, the Fletcher Jones Market, the owners of the former FJs factory and local community groups Stories of Fletcher Jones and Save The Silver Ball.
F Project president Emma Charlton said the event was “an ode to the garden parties Fletcher Jones used to hold for the staff”.
