Warrnambool and District Cricket Association picks Cross Border Challenge junior teams

TALENTED: Bulls cricketer Campbell Love will play in Port Fairy on Sunday.

WARRNAMBOOL and District Cricket Association has announced its under 16 and under 14 teams to face Mount Gambier in the Cross Border Challenge at Port Fairy on Sunday. 

The under 16 team is Tom Jackson, Hamish Gleeson, Alex Jennings, Bailey Jenkinson, Jackson Grundy, Oliver King, Liam Burgess, Jackson Couch, Zavier Mungean, Jacob Linke, Liam Couch, Elijah Dawson and Tom Mahony. The under 14 team is Campbell Love, Theo Opperman, Paddy O’Sullivan, Joe Nyikos, Matthew Sinnott, Walker Owen, Jacob Dunne, Jonah Bowles, Myles McCluggage, Bailey Smith, Louis Sharman, Rowan Ferguson and Austin Sinclair. 

Avery’s Paddock will host the 50-over per under 16s match and the under 14 will play on the JJ Colledge Oval in a 40-over per team format.

Jason Mungean and Nathan Murphy will coach the top-age side with Simon Dawson and Anthony Love the bottom-age outfit.

The games will start at 10am.
