PHONSE MCGRATH – CITYSCAPES: Hamilton Gallery, December 9-February 19. Coleraine-born Phonse McGrath’s display of paintings and drawings depicting cities around the world.
AH XIAN – AXIOM: Hamilton Gallery, until February 26. Chinese-Australian artist Ah Xian uses ceramic busts to explore varied states of being.
SHANE JONES – UNKNOWING THE REAL: WAG, December 10-February 26. New show from acclaimed Melbourne artist Shane Jones.

STORY CLUB: The Artery, December 1, 6pm. Local writer’s group, featuring feedback sessions and exercises.
TWO DAYS, ONE NIGHT: Killara Centre, Camperdown, December 1, 7.30pm. Corangamite Film Society screens this drama about a woman (Marion Cotillard) trying to convince her co-workers to reject a pay bonus so she can keep her job.
GIRL ASLEEP: Reardon Theatre, Port Fairy, December 2, 1.30pm & 7.30pm. Fundraiser screenings of this acclaimed Aussie coming-of-age drama, screened by Port Fairy Film Society.
PROUDSPOKEN: Proudfoots Boathouse, Warrnambool, December 2, 8pm. Monthly spoken word event, featuring guest artist Arielle Cottingham.
CHRISTMAS PARTY & MARKET: Fletcher Jones Gardens, Warrnambool, December 3, 9am. Celebration featuring a fashion parade, artists stalls, live entertainment and more.
