Allansford trio Josh Brown, Brenton Webster and Luke Irving, as well as Hampden league player James Fary – from Tigers’ coach Jason Rowan’s former stomping ground at Warrnambool – are set to pull on the yellow and black next season.
Fary returns to the club after a two-year stint with Warrnambool, while Webster was the WDFNL’s equal-fourth highest goalkicker last season.
He will provide a great foil for Rowan, who regularly took out the Hampden goalkicking award during his time at Warrnambool.
Brown and Irving are both in-an-under midfielders and will look to add some more options to the Tigers’ midfield rotations.
Rowan said the Warrnambool and District league 2016 finalist had identified areas to recruit for improvement in the lead-up to next season.
“We needed to target another key defender, a couple of on-ballers and another key forward,” he said.
“Webster will be great down forward with myself and a couple of the other younger lads that we’re grooming to play there.
“James Fary will be straight back into the back line. He can take a number-one or number-two key forward.
“Browny is probably going to play in our midfield and rest down forward. Luke is going to be a midfielder, (we might) even try to work on getting him to play a role down back.”
