Twilight Choir Night is part of national Music: Count Us In Day, which advocates and celebrates music in schools.
Student choirs and ensembles from the municipalities of Warrnambool, Moyne and Corangamite will perform their own music before coming together for three songs, including the Music: Count Us In theme song for this year Let It Play.
Schools involved include Warrnambool College, primary schools in Panmure, Cudgee, Nullawarre and Warrnambool East, as well as students from Terang and Camperdown.
The event has been organised by the Warrnambool & District Music Teachers’ Network as a way for schools in the area to combine musically, network founder Adele Crawford said.
“As a committee, we decided Music: Count Us In Day was the perfect opportunity to bring local schools together to celebrate singing,” Crawford said.
The event will also feature a barbecue that will raise money for local charities.
