Supreme Court action by Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria over the workplace agreement between the CFA and the United Firefighters Union was withdrawn on Tuesday.
Warrnambool Fire Brigade officer in charge Paul Marshall said he welcomed the news.
“We are pleased with the outcome and look forward to moving on beyond the dispute and getting on with the business of serving the community as an integrated brigade as we have done for the last 55 years,” Mr Marshall said.
“Obviously with the fire season coming it’s a good time to refocus on the fire season ahead.
Career staff and volunteers will continue to work together to ensure we provide the best fire protection in the communities of Warrnambool and the surrounding districts.”
