COMMUNITY: The 163rd Warrnambool Agricultural Show begins at 9am at the showgrounds on Hyland Street. The show runs until Sunday at 9pm and includes rides, showbags, stalls, art, showjumping and livestock displays.

SATURDAY
FESTIVAL: Portland will host its Upwelling Festival, celebrating the seven-month feeding frenzy of ocean creatures from November to May. A variety of events will run from 7.30am until 5pm across the town, from the Blessing of the Fleet to the Rotary Art Show.
FUNDRAISER: The Bandari Project invites the community to a Street Food and Music Bonanza at the St Brigid’s Hall at Crossley from 7pm until midnight. Tickets include street food, performance by the Borderers and alcohol at bar prices.
COMEDY: Rod Quantock will be performing his live comedy show Boredom Protection Policy at the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre from 7.30pm.
CAR SHOW: The Razorbacks SC Warrnambool will host the annual Car and Bike Show, incorporating Geelong Harley-Davidson’s Ride and Demo Day, at Lake Pertobe from 10am. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Legacy.
STORIES: Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre will host Dust of Uruzgan from 8pm. Fred Smith will tell stories and sing songs from his time as a tribal and political advisor with the Australian Army in Afghanistan.
DOG TRIALS: Warrnambool’s Harris Reserve will host the Back to Back Agility and Jumping trials from 8am. Dogs and handlers will run through more than 1200 runs across the two-day event.
SUNDAY
OPEN GARDEN: Koroit Historical Society and Rail Trail Maintenance Group will host the Koroit Five Open Gardens between 10.30am and 4pm. Tickets, maps and Devonshire tea will be available at Koroit Railway Station.
COMMUNITY: The Port Fairy Zombie Shuffle is on between 2.30pm and 4pm. Wear your best zombie costume and join the walk from Port Fairy’s Railway Place to the final resting place on the Fiddlers Green.
GET ACTIVE: Warrnambool Tri Club kicks off its season with the Killarney triathlon from 10am.
