A woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a van in Dandenong moments after having an argument with two men.

The woman, 37, suffered serious head, chest and pelvic injuries when the two men she had been arguing with drove off in a van and ran her down without stopping.
Instead of getting out of the vehicle to help the woman, the two men drove off into the night.
The hit and run occurred near the intersection of Alsace Street and Alexander Avenue, Dandenong, about 10pm on Tuesday.
Detectives have been told the men were driving a white Toyota HiAce van.
The 37-year-old was taken to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
